Job Description
Role summary

This role blends hands-on office/logistics support with day-to-day marketing execution. You’ll keep the office running smoothly (packing support, receiving and processing returns, coordinating supplies and shipments) while owning key marketing outputs: email creation, social media content, and lightweight content production. As De’Vora grows, you’ll help build the marketing/ops support bench by hiring and leading part-time or contract support.

Key responsibilities

Office support & logistics

• Support packing and shipping workflows as needed; help maintain organized packing stations and supplies.

• Receive, document, and process returns/exchanges; coordinate resolutions with internal guidelines and maintain accurate records.

• Assist with inbound shipments and basic inventory organization (counts, labeling, storage coordination).

• Provide general office support: scheduling, vendor coordination, ordering supplies, and keeping shared files organized.

• Create simple SOPs/checklists for repeatable office tasks (returns processing, packing standards, weekly supply checks).

Marketing execution (email + social + content)

• Create and schedule email campaigns (product education, reminders, promotions, new launches); maintain a simple email calendar.

• Write and design basic email layouts; ensure brand voice consistency and clear calls-to-action.

• Create social media content (short-form posts, reels/shorts concepts, product-in-use, before/after, FAQs, media features).

• Build a repeatable content system: content calendar, batching workflow, asset library, and posting schedule.

• Coordinate content capture: request UGC, organize product photos/videos, and maintain a searchable folder structure.

• Track and report on basic performance metrics (email sends/open/click where available; social reach/engagement; content output volume).

Team leadership (growth path)

• As workload increases, recruit and onboard part-time/contract support (content assistant, community manager, packing help).

• Create task briefs, training materials, and quality standards; manage deadlines and feedback.

• Help Debra prioritize weekly goals across office operations and marketing deliverables.

Success metrics (first 60–120 days)

• Returns and packing support running smoothly with clear tracking and fewer “where is this?” moments.

• Consistent marketing cadence established (email + social) with an organized calendar and asset library.

• Increased content output (more product-in-use, FAQs, and educational posts) without sacrificing brand consistency.

• Weekly reporting delivered with clear takeaways and next actions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in an office assistant, operations coordinator, or similar role (hands-on, detail-oriented work).

• 2+ years experience executing social media marketing and content creation (brand or agency).

• Comfortable writing marketing copy and coordinating simple creative production.

• Strong organization and follow-through; able to manage multiple workstreams.

• Experience using common tools (Google Workspace, basic design tools like Canva, and social scheduling tools).

Preferred

• Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Klaviyo/Mailchimp/Shopify Email) and basic segmentation.

• Experience in CPG, pet products, or eCommerce brands.

• Familiarity with basic inventory/returns workflows.

• Prior experience hiring, onboarding, or leading contractors/assistants.

Work style & logistics

• Full-time, on-site in New Jersey.

• Must be comfortable with hands-on packing/returns tasks and occasional lifting/moving boxes (reasonable accommodations available).

Compensation

• Competitive full-time compensation based on experience; includes performance expectations tied to operational reliability and marketing output.
