Technical Writer I

Job Title

Develop, review, and update user manuals, guides, preventive maintenance work orders, job plans, and technical documentation in Maximo CMMS.
Validate maintenance instructions against OEM manuals and technical specifications for accuracy and compliance.
Review labor estimates, job steps, and task sequencing to ensure alignment with operational standards.
Standardize documentation to align with OEM procedures and internal documentation practices.
Create clear, structured, and user-friendly technical content to improve usability and effectiveness.
Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and cross-functional teams to gather and validate technical information.
Support data entry, document control, and configuration management within CMMS systems.
Document technical activities and prepare detailed reports.
Ensure all documentation meets quality, clarity, and consistency standards.
Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
Ability to read and interpret OEM manuals, technical drawings, and schematics.
Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF editing tools.
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including climbing, bending, and working in confined or elevated spaces.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and shifts as needed.
Familiarity with Maximo or other CMMS platforms.
Trade certification or associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance.
Experience standardizing PM programs or contributing to CMMS improvements.
Knowledge of Lean Maintenance or Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM).
Associate degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
