Blue Ridge Mountain Recovery Center is looking for a Director of Business Development to join their team! We are a premier provider of addiction treatment and detoxification services located in Ball Ground, Georgia, less than an hour north of Atlanta.

The facility sits on 40 acres of wooded countryside in the Blue Ridge Mountains and offers residential treatment to adults of all genders struggling with primary substance use disorders—including alcohol, opioids, and other drug addictions—as well as co‑occurring mental health concerns. Customized treatment plans that consider each client’s unique strengths, skills, and needs provide comprehensive care, which may include medication management, detox services, and evidence‑based therapeutic interventions.

Purpose Statement

Grow lines of service as defined by management by developing and retaining referrals from physicians and other key non‑physician referral sources.

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate closely with hospital discharge planners, social workers, case managers, physicians, and management, and provide education staff to generate referral sources.
  • Work collaboratively with all levels of facility and division sales leadership to support the organization’s mission and revenue goals by selling service line attributes, processes, and outcomes to consumers, physicians, and market facility groups/individuals.
  • Collaborate with facility and division leaders to evaluate, analyze, and interpret market utilization data for facility service lines.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with admissions/intake.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive internal and external marketing plan to increase revenues and profits for the facility.
  • Ensure referral priorities are identified and align with the organization’s vision and strategic goals.
  • Expeditiously document all activity in the company Customer Relationship Manager (Salesforce).
  • Evaluate, analyze, and interpret market demographics, including population, age, gender, race, and projected trends for patient populations.
  • Collaborate with division and/or market physician services, facility leaders, and medical staff leadership to develop sales and retention strategies for facility services.
  • Execute referrals and retention strategies/plans effectively, continuously modifying strategies and plans to ensure quality outcomes and results for referral sources and the facility.
  • Successfully close new referral sources and conduct face‑to‑face meetings with referral sources, ensuring a thorough understanding of available services; complete follow‑up meetings as needed.
  • Prepare and present regular reports, identifying trends, additional referral opportunities, and obstacles to retention and growth.
  • Provide staff management, including hiring, development, training, performance management, and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation.

Education/Experience/Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree, as approved by the VP of Business Development.
  • Five or more years of related healthcare business development experience required.
  • One or more years of supervisory experience required.

Licenses/Designations/Certifications

  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance coverage, and access to a vehicle where required by the facility.
