Avid Core is seeking a Communications Specialist to support a federal contract focused on real estate acquisition for large infrastructure projects in the Washington, D.C. area. This role will support landowner outreach, communications development, and project coordination efforts, working closely with project teams and stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and effective engagement.

Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000, based on experience and qualifications.

Overall Responsibilities:

Support the development of landowner outreach material to support infrastructure projects
Develop and distribute communications, mailings, and outreach materials
Manage and track outreach and engagement activities and data, including all communications and responses
Ensure all project data is entered into project tracking tools
Support planning and execution of large infrastructure projects
Support programs and processes, identify existing or potential problems, resolve and remedy circumstances before problems occur, and modify processes to improve products, procedures, and programs
Support and maintain real estate landowner outreach schedule for multiple large infrastructure projects, to include key milestone dates, deadlines, meetings, discussions, etc.
Maintain a list of tracked action items and assist with the closure of those items
Maintain project documentation files and track points of contact and key activities
Develop weekly and monthly progress reports detailing key project activities
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Skills:

2-4 years of experience in communications, public outreach, project coordination, or related fields
Experience supporting federal, state, or local government projects preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience drafting outreach materials and correspondence
Experience managing data, trackers, or communication logs with high attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Experience supporting infrastructure, real estate, or land acquisition projects is a plus
Ability to obtain public trust clearance

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, Urban Planning, Real Estate, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Location:

The position is based in Washington, D.C. Candidates may be expected to work a hybrid schedule with time both on-site and remote, depending on client requirements.

Candidates will be provided with a computer; however, they must have a steady internet connection and a phone.
