The Role
We are seeking a high-energy, strategic, and results-driven

Director of Sales & Marketing

to lead our growth efforts within the

Midwest Region . This is a dual-focus leadership role: you will be the architect of our regional sales strategy while simultaneously overseeing marketing initiatives that align with our brand's reputation for excellence.

The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the lighting or trade show industries and has a proven track record of managing long-cycle B2B relationships.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership (Midwest Focus)

Regional Growth:

Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan to expand DS&L's footprint across Illinois and the broader Midwest.

Account Management:

Cultivate and maintain senior-level relationships with key exhibit houses, retail designers, and corporate partners.

Revenue Optimization:

Identify new market opportunities and vertical segments to diversify the company's revenue streams.

Technical Consultation:

Work closely with clients to provide custom lighting and supply solutions tailored to their specific project needs.

Marketing Strategy

Brand Stewardship:

Oversee the creation of marketing collateral, digital content, and trade show presence to ensure a consistent, premium brand message.

Lead Generation:

Implement data-driven marketing campaigns to feed the sales pipeline.

Product Launch:

Collaborate with the operations and product teams to bring new lighting technologies to market with high impact.

Qualifications

Experience:

7–10+ years of progressive experience in B2B Sales and Marketing, preferably within the lighting, trade show, or architectural supply industries.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).

Leadership:

Proven ability to lead by example, influence stakeholders, and manage complex negotiations.

Communication:

Exceptional presentation skills and the ability to translate technical product features into value-based client benefits.

Regional Knowledge:

Strong existing network within the Midwest business community.
