Position Summary

AstroNova is seeking a motivated and adaptable Production Technician to join our dynamic operations team. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of our electronics manufacturing process, including Assembly, Testing, and Quality Inspection. As part of our cross-training initiative, the selected candidate will rotate through key departments, building a strong foundation in production operations while contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality products.

This role also provides exposure to AstroNova's Aerospace Business Unit, supporting world-class customers such as Boeing, Airbus, and other leading aviation manufacturers. Key Responsibilities

Perform a variety of tasks across the Assembly, Testing, and Quality Inspection departments, and additional manufacturing areas as needed. Examples include, but are not limited to, support in receiving and final inspection, touch-up, inventory management, and cycle counting.

Assist in the production of high-reliability electronics used in aerospace and industrial applications

Support daily operations by backfilling for team members during absences, vacations, or leaves

Participate in cross-training programs to develop proficiency in multiple roles

Follow detailed work instructions, schematics, and procedures to ensure product quality and consistency

Collaborate with team leads to meet production schedules and shifting priorities

Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with quality standards

Adhere to safety protocols and contribute to a clean, organized work environment

Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and team-based problem solving

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred

Awareness in electronics is preferred-training will be provided

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to learn quickly and work across multiple functions

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Physical ability to perform job duties including standing, lifting, and moving materials

Preferred Skills

Interest in electronics manufacturing or aerospace technology

Familiarity with basic tools, soldering, or test equipment

Experience with ERP systems or production documentation

Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities
