International Trade Advocate (Los Angeles)

Talent Advisory is seeking expressions of interest from experienced Los Angeles based trade and investment professionals for a unique international advocacy opportunity supporting a proposed Tasmanian Government engagement in the United States.

We are seeking a highly connected and commercially minded representative with strong existing networks across business, investment, trade and industry sectors.

Location:
Los Angeles, California (open for the right candidate)

Contract Term:
Proposed two year engagement from July 2026 to June 2028

Hours:
Up to 60 hours per month

Indicative Consulting Rate:
Approximately USD $100 per hour

About the Role:
The successful candidate will provide an on ground presence in the United States supporting Tasmanian export, investment and trade opportunities.

The role will involve:
Supporting Tasmanian business engagement in the US
Facilitating strategic introductions and meetings
Providing market intelligence and commercial insights
Supporting trade missions and delegations
Assisting with investment attraction opportunities
Building relationships across government and industry stakeholders
Preparing reporting and activity updates

About You:
Based in Los Angeles with established professional networks
Strong understanding of US business culture and relationship management
Experience across trade, investment, consulting, government or business development
Familiarity with Australia and Australian business environments highly regarded
Able to work independently and professionally represent Tasmanian interests in market

This role is being coordinated by Talent Advisory, a Tasmania based consultancy supporting government, infrastructure and international engagement projects.
