Lead Fit & Product Developer
We are seeking a high‑caliber Lead Fit & Product Developer to drive the seasonal evolution of our style and fit portfolio. Reporting to the Director of Fit and Product Development, you will serve as the technical architect behind our garments, bridging the gap between creative design and global mass production.
Key Responsibilities
Fit Block Development:
Innovate and maintain fit blocks that balance design intent, fabric performance, and manufacturing capabilities, ensuring quality, cost‑effectiveness, and timely delivery.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration:
Partner with Design to translate aesthetics into commercially viable products; work with Garment Developers to apply approved blocks to seasonal lines and oversee bulk production approvals.
Quality & Execution:
Lead competitive fit reviews, establish body target measurements, evaluate samples, and serve as liaison between Design, Product Development, and the source base to resolve technical production issues.
Fittings & Communication:
Lead garment fittings, documenting style and fit comments for global production locations.
Project Management:
Manage “Go to Market” milestones, integrating internal and external stakeholder timelines and staying current on contractor technical capabilities.
Qualifications
5+ years in apparel fit execution (women’s denim
on‑denim bottoms, jackets, and tops).
Bachelor’s degree in Design or related field (or 7+ years of equivalent training/experience).
Proficiency in Gerber Accumark, Adobe Illustrator, and PLM; experience with 3D fit development programs is a plus.
Strong manual or CAD pattern‑making and grading skills; ability to direct corrections to contractor pattern work.
Proven ability to partner with overseas technical teams to ensure quality execution.
