Role Description
The Designer / Senior Designer will design and develop children’s innerwear (infant through big kids): strong focus on

underwear ,

bras , and

layering essentials .

This role requires a high level of creativity, technical design expertise, and product ownership, including garment construction, fit awareness, and fabric knowledge. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing multiple programs simultaneously, working cross-functionally, and contributing both strategically and hands-on within a fast-moving business.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of children’s innerwear across private label and licensed brands
Create original prints, graphics, and color stories appropriate for children’s categories
Develop detailed CADs, flats, and tech-ready artwork using Adobe Illustrator
Drive seasonal concept development, including trend research, mood boards, and design direction
Partner closely with technical design teams on fit, construction, and fabric selection
Oversee development from concept through production approval, including:
Lab dips, strike-offs, and print approvals
Proto/sample reviews and revisions
Ensure designs meet children’s safety and compliance standards (CPSIA, flammability, etc.)
Balance creativity with commercial viability, aligning designs with retailer needs and price points
Collaborate cross-functionally with merchandising, production, and sales teams

Qualifications
4–7+ years of experience in children’s apparel design, with a strong focus on innerwear, intimates, or adjacent categories
Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (Mac environment)
Demonstrated ability to create original prints and graphics for children’s products
Solid understanding of garment construction, fit, and fabrications specific to intimates/innerwear
Experience working with high-volume retail or private label accounts
Knowledge of children’s product safety regulations and compliance requirements
Strong organizational and project management skills; able to handle multiple seasons simultaneously
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
Strong communication skills and ability to present ideas clearly
Trend-aware with a strong sense of color, print, and commercial design
