We are seeking a passionate and skilled Band Director to join our faculty at Saint Francis DeSales, a Catholic high school in Columbus, Ohio. This role is ideal for an educator who is dedicated to fostering musical excellence within a faith-based environment. Position Overview:
The Band Director will lead and instruct students in performance of various styles of music, ensuring a vibrant and engaging music program that enhances the school's artistic and spiritual life. This is a dynamic, multi-faceted role suited to an energetic educator who thrives on variety.
Responsibilities include:
Directing Marching Band, Concert Band and Jazz Band fostering an engaging and enriching Instrumental experience for students.
Teaching 5th through 8th Grade Band Students at St James The Less and St. Josephine Bakhita Middle Schools. Guiding these students in ensemble performance, and musical interpretation.
Conducting the Pit Orchestra for the School Musical
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Music Education(or related field) required.
Strong Conducting and Rehearsal Skills necessary for rehearsals and performances.
Experience in High School Band Directing preferred.
A commitment to upholding and enriching the Catholic tradition through music.
