The first Sphere opened in Las Vegas, with a second venue planned for Abu Dhabi. In addition, the Company includes MSG Networks, which operates two regional sports and entertainment networks, MSG Network and MSG Sportsnet, as well as a direct‑to‑consumer and authenticated streaming product, MSG+, delivering a wide range of live sports content and other programming.

Who are we hiring?
Sphere is looking for a production‑savvy, fiscally‑minded, and analytical leader with an entrepreneurial spirit to join our Sphere Studios team. The Director Studio Production Operations will act as a trusted extension of the SVP Studio Operations – providing bench strength leadership while driving operational execution and strategic initiatives across Sphere Studios’ content production. This role is responsible for managing production and interdepartmental workflows, from creative concept through to final delivery. The Director will work closely with Studio leaders across Creative & Design, Production, Post, VFX, and Show Delivery. This role is pivotal in shaping the Studio’s direction, overseeing high‑impact projects and the implementation of core business processes that align with organizational goals and demands.

What will you do?

Partner with the Studio’s Production, Creative and Finance teams to develop and track production and departmental budgets for Experiences, Residencies, Events and Exosphere.

Partner with Sphere Business Operations on development of SOPs, strategic plans/playbooks, optimization of processes, and resource utilization/planning.

Drive operational efficiency by overseeing the implementation of operational creative and production management processes to reduce friction points within the Studio.

Streamline interdepartmental Studio production reporting mechanisms to ensure transparent and accurate project tracking, guaranteeing deliverables and deadlines are achieved.

Manage feedback mechanisms between Studio departments to ensure seamless communication, coordinate workflows, and resolve issues promptly and align production efforts with project goals.

Lead key Production Management tasks in support of developing production plans, tools, templates, models, logistics and manuals.

Lead special projects and strategic content initiatives within the Studio as needed.

Play a key role in scaling operational capabilities and organizational infrastructure, with the opportunity to take on people‑leadership responsibilities as the function evolves.

What do you need to succeed?

10+ years of experience in production operations and/or production management including budgeting, scheduling, and effectively collaborating across departments at all levels of a production company or studio.

Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to implement efficient processes.
