Annuities play an important role in retirement planning by helping individuals and families address key risks, such as outliving their savings, managing taxes, navigating healthcare costs, and creating more predictable income. Financial professionals rely on clear, intuitive digital experiences to understand these solutions and apply them effectively with clients. This role exists to ensure our annuity experiences do exactly that. The Consultant is responsible for shaping modern, connected digital experiences that support annuity education, planning, and adoption. This role helps translate complex retirement concepts into clear, usable web journeys that support financial professionals from insight to action.
Job Summary:
Leads the strategy, design, and optimization of digital web experiences focused on annuity and retirement solutions. Responsible for shaping end-to-end digital journeys that support financial professionals in understanding, planning, and applying annuity products. Combines digital experience strategy, funnel optimization, SEO, and performance analytics to create intuitive, user-centered web experiences that drive engagement and business outcomes. Acts as a strategic, cross-functional partner collaborating with marketing, sales enablement, UX, analytics, and technology teams to align digital experiences with real advisor workflows and business goals. Reporting Relationships: Reports to Manager/Director/AVP. This is an individual contributor role with strong cross-functional influence and collaboration across teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Web experience & journey design (annuities focused) Own the annuity web experience as an end to end journey, not just individual pages. Design and evolve intuitive navigation and information architecture that reflects real retirement planning needs (e.g., income planning, healthcare considerations, legacy goals). Ensure annuity content, planning tools, and product information are clearly connected and easy to use. Translate annuity marketing and business strategies into effective digital experiences. Journey enablement & collaboration Partner with annuities marketing and narrative leads to bring story based journeys to life on the website. Collaborate with sales enablement and distribution partners to align digital experiences with how financial professionals engage clients. Support campaign and paid media efforts by ensuring landing experiences are clear, relevant, and action oriented. SEO, content structure & discoverability Lead SEO and discoverability efforts for annuity and retirement planning content. Improve how advisors find and access information through thoughtful content organization, tagging, and internal linking. Help establish content structures that support reuse, performance measurement, and personalization over time. Optimization & performance Use data, testing, and user insights to continuously improve engagement and conversion. Identify opportunities to simplify experiences, reduce friction, and improve outcomes. Partner with analytics teams to assess experience performance and inform future enhancements. Cross functional partnership Work closely with marketing, UX, technology, analytics, and compliance partners. Balance near term improvements with long term modernization and scalability. Contribute to best practices and standards for digital experiences supporting annuities and retirement solutions.
Must-Have Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in digital experience strategy, web optimization, integrated marketing, or related fields. Strong understanding of
full-funnel digital marketing and customer journey optimization Experience working across multiple teams and stakeholders in complex environments. Demonstrated ability to turn strategy into intuitive, user centered solutions. Comfortable using data and insights to guide decisions. Bachelors degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Business, or related field
Nice to Have Qualifications:
Experience in financial services, retirement, investments, insurance, or another regulated industry. Familiarity with advisor led or intermediated business models. Experience with analytics tools, SEO platforms, and experimentation or optimization programs.
