Description

Exhibit staff provides clerical assistance for Fair competitions and works within a fast paced environment to meet the demands of multiple projects simultaneously. They assist in creating approved attractions including but not limited to: set design, decorating photo props, creating entrances to various attractions, and decorating vignettes. They are responsible for assisting in pre-Fair events, set-up, working in an assigned attraction during Fair, and assisting with additional projects and day to day activities within each attraction.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
Provide clerical assistance to Programming Department including data entry, preparing paperwork for Fair competitions.
Assisting in pre-Fair set up for attractions and exhibits.
Works within the Programming Department in creating unique exhibits and attractions for guests.
Must work with others in creating sets, decorating photo props, and decorating vignettes.
Will assist the Programming Department with various competitions including but not limited to: Home Arts and the Culinary Kitchen, adult and youth categories.
Must provide excellent customer service in attractions and throughout the grounds.
Performing other duties as required by the Programming Department.
Organization and clean-up of Home Arts storage areas.

Physical Requirements Of Job
Must be able to work evenings and weekends as required during the Fair
Ability to walk and stand for 8 hours a day
Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
Must be available to work every day of the LA County Fair
