Department: University Events (UE) – Plans, supports, and executes campus events, coordinating support areas for event sponsors, providing high‑level customer service while managing resources to serve the university mission.
Position Overview

The Event Operations Crew provides services for the Event Operations Setup and Technical Services Unit. Responsibilities include physically setting up equipment for all on‑campus events, following visual diagrams to accurately set up furniture and technology. Team members work in small groups, train new student employees, assist customers with technology needs, troubleshoot issues, test equipment before events, and perform other duties as assigned. The role involves working throughout the BSU campus, developing teamwork, communication, and independence skills with limited supervision.
Responsibilities

Setup furniture and technology for events.
Follow specific details of diagrams.
Work in a team environment.
Follow a schedule in a timely manner.
Train new student employees.
Assist customers with technology needs.
Troubleshoot technology issues.
Test equipment before events.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Hourly Rate

$15.00 per hour.
