District Sales Manager – Oncology
Territory covers: Chicago, Minneapolis, Nebraska.

Responsibilities

Liaise with customers, providing clinical knowledge of our products to medical professionals.

Manage district teams to maximize performance and help achieve/exceed sales and budget targets.

Screen, interview, and hire sales representatives.

Provide ongoing training and coaching, including conducting performance reviews and competency assessments.

Coordinate and/or participate in cluster teams and conduct district sales meetings to guide districts.

Develop local Opinion Leader relationships to achieve aligned objectives.

Track the progress of marketing messages and programs, providing feedback to district teams on marketing allocation, monitoring, and leveraging of internal and external resources.

Communicate and coordinate with cross‑functional teams (Marketing, Finance, other Business Units) and share best practices with direct reports and peers.

Required Qualifications

Doctorate degree with 2 years of Sales/Marketing experience, OR

Master’s degree with 6 years of Sales/Marketing experience, OR

Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of Sales/Marketing experience, OR

Associate’s degree with 10 years of Sales/Marketing experience, OR

High school diploma/GED with 12 years of Sales/Marketing experience.

2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leading teams, projects, or programs.

Preferred Qualifications

Three+ years of specialty sales experience.

Experience in oncology.

Experience with the Buy & Bill model.

Ability to consistently and objectively recognize and promote success behaviors, diagnose and change unsatisfactory behaviors through effective coaching.

Ability to leverage market and customer knowledge to strategically target messages, resources, and activities within the territory.

Demonstrated knowledge of local payer coverage.

Ability to understand and articulate clinical concepts, data, and conclusions.

Demonstrated ability to utilize clinical information to address customer questions and objections.

Ability to recruit candidates that meet the minimum job criteria.

Interview and hire sales representatives that are capable and committed to fulfilling the job requirements.

Strong sense of responsibility and demonstrated self‑discipline.

Setting appropriate short‑term and long‑term objectives, demonstrated success in communicating & collaborating with sales staff, peers, and business unit counterparts.
