POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing quality images and data using a variety of instruments to assist the physicians in the diagnosis and documentation of eye conditions.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform all aspects of ophthalmic imaging, including but not limited to:
Macular, glaucoma and anterior segment OCT scans of patients, following specific protocol
Color fundus photography, including stereo disc photos and montage imaging
OCT angiography
Fluorescein angiography, at different magnifications
ICG angiography
Slit lamp photography, including proficiency utilizing slit, diffusion, retro-illumination, sclerotic scatter and appropriate filters
B-scan and UBM ultrasound
Ocular biometry (A-scan, IOL Master, Pentacam)
External photography
Consenting patients for diagnostic imaging procedures
Intravenous injection of fluorescein sodium and indocyanine green dye
Managing databases on all imaging systems
Monitoring and managing the imaging PAC system
Assisting other photographers and technicians with imaging
Maintain and order all photography room supplies
Print requested images for referring physician letters and clinical trials
Assist with images for educational presentations and marketing

Work is completed in an office and/or clinical healthcare setting with little exposure to harsh conditions and hazards. Training, Certification and/or Personal Protective Equipment is provided when necessary. Incumbent will have the ability to move freely and may be required to sit or stand for long periods of time. May be required to balance, bend/stoop, stretch, push/pull, kneel, reach and lift up to 25 lbs. to perform essential duties and responsibilities of the role. Hand and eye coordination, finger dexterity and the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing. Is required to travel to and from office locations as needed.
Daily operation of various office equipment: fax machine, telephone & voice mail operating system. Stationary/laptop computer, e-mail system, & copier.

Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in ophthalmic imaging
Bachelor’s degree in related science field
Certified Retinal Angiographer (CRA), Optical Coherence Tomographer- Certified (OCT-C), or Diagnostic Ophthalmic Sonographer (CDOS)
Experience with clinical trial coordination and imaging
Membership in professional organizations
Professional Development
Stays updated with current developments in the field
Pursues certification in CRA, OCT-C and other relatable certifications
