Position Summary:

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for leading, coaching, and growing a high-performing dental sales team within an assigned territory. This role drives revenue growth through effective people management, strategic planning, customer engagement, and execution of national and regional sales initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a proven track record in dental or medical sales.

Primary focus on the Clinical side of the business specifically relating to Restorative, Prosthodontic/CAD-CAM.
Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership & Performance

Lead, manage, and motivate a team of dental sales representatives to achieve and exceed regional sales targets

Develop and execute regional business plans aligned with national sales strategy

Monitor sales performance, KPIs, and pipeline activity; implement corrective actions when needed

Drive adoption of new products, promotions, and strategic initiatives across the across the western region in the US and Canada.

Manage and deliver the regional sales expense budget with financial discipline and effective resource allocation

Field Coaching & Team Development

Conduct regular field rides, coaching sessions, and performance reviews to strengthen selling effectiveness.

Lead, coach, train, and develop sales talent using formal development and performance management frameworks.

Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

Identify individual and team skill gaps and implement targeted development plans.

Customer & Key Account Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with key dental customers, influencers, distributors, and opinion leaders

Support strategic accounts, group practices, DSOs, and educational institutions as needed

Develop and maintain a strong professional network within the region.

Represent the company at regional meetings, trade shows, and dental events to identify sales opportunities and enhance brand reputation.

Business Planning, Analysis & Reporting

Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and regional performance to inform decision-making.

Forecast sales results accurately and manage pipeline visibility.

Prepare and deliver timely, accurate performance, analytics, and insights reports to senior leadership.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Customer Service, and Operations to drive execution.

Execute national and regional marketing initiatives within the territory in partnership with Marketing to support product adoption and brand positioning.

Compliance & Brand Representation

Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards

Act as a brand ambassador, consistently representing company values and professionalism

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or equivalent experience

Minimum of 5 years of dental or medical sales experience

Minimum of 3 years of sales management/leadership experience

Proven ability to lead teams and drive consistent revenue growth

Strong analytical, communication, and coaching skills

Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region 50% (Western North America and Canada)

Experience selling dental restorative and prosthodontic materials, CAD CAM materials

Experience working with DSOs or group practices preferred

Experience using CRM (Salesforce or similar)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation, interpersonal, and consulting capabilities; strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.

Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple projects, and consistently meet deadlines.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Must possess a valid driver's license.

NOTE: The salary range for this role is

$130,000 - $155,000
