Job Overview

The Director, Communications & Audience Strategy advances enterprise media effectiveness by developing customer‑driven audience strategies, strengthening cross‑functional integration, and translating business goals into measurable media outcomes. The role guides the use of data, insights, and marketing technology to enhance targeting, improve customer quality, and optimize investment across the media funnel. Through strategic leadership and innovation, this position influences campaign performance, audience growth, and long‑term media productivity.

What You Will Do

Design a cohesive customer-based audience strategy across upper, mid, and lower funnel channels with emphasis on addressable media.

Lead audience creation, activation processes, and application of marketing technology platforms.

Partner with Customer Driven Insights & Activation to translate customer strategies into actionable paid media tactics.

Collaborate with customer strategy, measurement, and analytics teams to uncover insights and inform performance enhancements.

Identify and implement innovative processes and programs aligned with brand and retail growth priorities.

Partner with agencies and analytics partners to evaluate customer quality, acquisition, and retention across attributed media.

Guide teams on applying data and technology to support insight development, targeting, and campaign design.

Assess first‑party data to provide strategic audience recommendations and build addressable audiences.

Map existing and develop new communication strategies based on insights and technology capabilities.

Translate business strategy into communications strategy and media investment recommendations.

Consult on attribution and marketing mix modeling to optimize spend, channel mix, and ROAS.

Develop testing agendas with analytics partners to measure effectiveness, discover opportunities, and reduce overlap.

Lead innovation initiatives with Brand, Merchant, and Corporate Strategy teams to identify new ways of working.

Create strategic roadmaps for innovation and advise on opportunities related to emerging platforms including Metaverse and Web3.

Skills You Will Need

Job Overview
As a Personal Stylist, also known as MyStylist, your focus is to exceed performance metrics with an entrepreneurial mindset. You will drive enterprise-wide cross selling to deliver sales goals and achieve sales growth. You will also embrace innovation, new selling ideas, and applications. Your role is to provide an elevated and seamless customer experience through expertise in lifestyle selling, in-store and virtual selling and service by leveraging technology. Personal Stylists are expected to expand their customer base by developing key relationships with vendor partners, store leadership, peers, and their local community. What You Will Do
· Exceed sale goals by providing a personalized and elevated shopping experiences in-store and online
· Drive customer acquisition through networking opportunities, leverage social media to seek online and in-store traffic, and create and execute a compelling online presence to form awareness and promote the services and experiences you offer
· Partner with store team, vendors and community partners to develop and host virtual and in-store events to deliver incremental sales.
· Leverage selling tools and resources to increase annual spend and repeat client visit rates through ongoing outreach and correspondence; invite customers to virtual and/or in-person appointments; promote goods, looks, and products that are relevant to your customer.
· Make data driven decisions that will drive growth and understand your local market and customer base.
· Meet with the Store Manager on a regular basis to inform them of your performance, goals and actions.
· Complete Daily and weekly tasks include checking emails, appointment booking upkeep, customer follow-up, content development and posts, and other duties as assigned.
· Attend Vendor trainings and development workshops as assigned.
· Share your knowledge and support peers in growing their skillset while continuously developing yours
· Regularly participate in store leadership meetings and visits.
· Maintain a clean, safe and inviting environment in alignment with our company standards and guidelines.

Who You Are

What You Will Do

What You Will Do

What You Will Do

Based upon your Captain assignment you could be fulfilling customer orders, merchandising, processing new products, or supervising the selling floor in delivering exceptional customer service.

Lead colleagues in the execution and completion of assigned tasks.

As an advocate for the customer, you will role model and provide fast feedback on how to make every customer experience outstanding.

Ensure high level of customer service through problem-solving and customer-focused resolutions.

Enhance the in-store customer experience by promoting our Macy's mobile app.

Meet with People Leaders throughout the day to plan and monitor total store activities.

Provide People Leaders continuous feedback that drives a positive customer experience and improves our processes.

Perform store opening and closing procedures, including accessing alarm system and settling the registers.

Lead and participate in the adherence to our best in class merchandise standards.

Educate colleagues on point of sale technology, radio frequency equipment, and applications to assist in selling and fulfillment of customer orders.

Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.

Who You Are

Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality

Proficient in communicating effectively with customers and providing clear direction to colleagues

Self-starter in adapting quickly to changing customer expectations and needs

Resourceful and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and deadlines

1-2 years of direct retail experience preferred

High school diploma or equivalent

Essential Physical Requirements You Will Perform

This position requires lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.

Involves standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 50lbs., stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders

Reaching, including above eye level, crouching, kneeling, stooping and color vision.

Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions
