Retention Marketing Manager
As a Retention Marketing Manager, you will be the driving force behind high-performing email marketing strategies and automation for 15–17 clients. You will lead the charge as their retention expert, turning insights into powerful lifecycle campaigns that boost engagement, loyalty and revenue.
Working hand-in-hand with project managers, copywriters, designers and the sales team, you will bring bold, data-backed ideas to life. Your focus will be on continuously elevating client strategies and developing your team so that every campaign hits harder, performs better and delivers standout results.
Key Accountabilities
Develop and execute email marketing strategies, including automation, segmentation, lifecycle targeting and predictive analytics aligned with client branding.
Lead large-scale email campaigns end to end planning, QA testing, launching, measuring and optimizing performance.
Collaborate with Design, Copywriting and Project Management teams to deliver campaigns on time, on brand, and within budget.
Track, analyze and report weekly/monthly email KPIs, providing insights and improvement recommendations.
Conduct client and team calls to present strategies, review performance and align on goals.
Monitor competitor email programs to identify strategic opportunities and enhancements.
Continuously improve internal processes, update training resources, and support knowledge sharing.
Manage 5–7 direct reports, including coaching, performance discussions, and onboarding/training of new hires.
KPIs
Client Satisfaction & Retention: High client NPS and reduced churn.
Financial & Service Growth: Meet team gross profit targets and drive service upsells.
Quality & Process Compliance: Deliver high-quality, error-free work with strong process adherence.
Project Timeliness: Complete all campaigns and projects on schedule.
Team Engagement & Stability: Maintain low team attrition and strong Employee NPS.
Key Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and a strong passion for digital marketing.
Hands-on experience with multiple ESPs (Campaign Monitor, MailChimp, ActiveCampaign, Drip, GetResponse, Retention Science, etc.); Klaviyo experience is a big plus.
Comfortable managing multiple clients and fast-paced account work—agency experience is a bonus.
Proven leadership experience with small to mid-sized teams; remote team management is a strong advantage.
Highly creative, analytical, self-motivated and exceptionally detail-oriented.
