The NCWRC is the regulatory agency responsible for the enforcement of North Carolina’s fishing, hunting, trapping, and boating laws. The agency has an operational budget of approximately $100 million and employs approximately 700 full-time staff and 100 seasonal temporary staff across the state, including wildlife and fisheries biologists and technicians, wildlife law enforcement officers, wildlife educators, communication specialists, and customer service, information technology and administrative professionals. The NCWRC Mission is to conserve North Carolina’s wildlife resources and their habitats and provide programs and opportunities that allow hunters, anglers, boaters, and other outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy wildlife-associated recreation.**Description of Work**The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission is accepting applications for a Marketing Strategist (Marketing Specialist II) for the Office of Communications, Marketing and Digital Engagement (CMDE).

The NC Wildlife Resources Commission’s Office of Communications, Marketing and Digital Engagement (CMDE) engages North Carolina’s citizens and visitors in understanding their connections to the state’s natural resources, particularly its wildlife resources, and to the Wildlife Resources Commission. The primary function of the Office of CMDE is to impart messaging designed to facilitate the conservation of the state’s natural and wildlife resources, their habitats, and the environment humans share with these resources. The office is directly responsible for all agency’s communications and marketing efforts. The office comprises five branches: Communications, Marketing, Digital Engagement, Design, and Publications.

The primary purpose of this Marketing Strategist (Marketing Specialist II) position is to manage and implement all WRC marketing campaigns (traditional and digital). This position will:

• Oversee development of marketing campaigns from inception to launch

• Implement and manage non-revenue generating campaigns in support of staff outreach

• Report trends and analytics from marketing data

• Manage the marketing calendar and tracking

• Provide direct support to the Marketing Administrator

• Supervise, direct and mentor the Marketing Coordinator

The schedule associated with this position is Monday-Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm schedule which is 40 hours per week. This position also allows for a 1-day a week telework schedule. This position will be based out of our Wildlife Resources Commission Headquarters building in Raleigh, NC (Wake County).**Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences**Education and Experience must be included in the candidate profile to receive consideration during the selection and salary administration processes.* Experience in developing marketing strategies for a variety of campaigns* Experience in leading and managing multiple marketing strategies* Experience in applying data analytics to effectively manage and improve marketing campaigns* Experience with email marketing* Experience with Google analytics or similar data analytics tool**Special Qualifications/Requirements:*** Valid NC Driver’s License within 90 days of employment**RECRUITMENT RANGE:** **$ 55,221
