Overview
Currently partnered with a $300bn asset manager looking to expand their private equity capital markets team. The purpose of this role is to optimize how deals are financed and executed.
This is a unique role as it sits at the intersection of the investment and investor relations teams where it utilizes one's technical capabilities in a client facing capacity.
Responsibilities
Debt Sourcing: Collaborating with banks, credit funds, and institutional investors to secure loans or high-yield bonds to fund buyouts.
Optimization: Ensuring the debt structure aligns with the target company’s cash flows and the firm’s return objectives.
Syndication: Working with financial institutions to distribute the debt to a broader base of lenders if needed.
Lender & Investor Coordination: Prepare materials for lenders, bondholders, or co-investors and support negotiations with banks, private credit funds, or capital providers.
Deal Financing: Model financing scenarios, including cost of capital, IRR impact, and sensitivity analysis.
Requirements
1-4 years of experience in leveraged finance or financial sponsors
Direct experience closing transactions (lead left)
Strong financial modeling and credit underwriting skillset
Ability to articulate clearly, and effectively, to internal and external stakeholders
