Digital Product Designer
We're looking for a detail-oriented Digital Product Designer to join our Copenhagen office and help us shape our software solutions. You will collaborate with other designers, product managers, engineers and consultants to achieve the best possible user experience in our user interfaces. This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly established team, in a growing SaaS company.
You will work in a variety of innovative tools, whether helping to design new products or modernizing existing solutions, with diversified and interesting tasks. This position reports to the Product Design Lead and it's more suitable for a mid-level or early senior designer. The salary range for this role is 35,000–50,000 DKK/month (+ pension). The range reflects differences in experience, seniority, and scope within the role. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills and experience.
The company For over 20 years, Omnidocs has been redefining productivity in document generation. Born as a consultancy and turned into a SaaS business, the company is now a powerhouse in helping customers achieve the best results with their documents and presentations, worldwide. Today, the Omnidocs Group has a strong portfolio comprised of several products and almost 200 professionals across various office locations such as Denmark, The Netherlands, UK, Switzerland and more. Following a strategy of acquiring new companies and technologies, in the past 3 years we welcomed Dania Software, Office Consult, Xential, Eformity, Presentation Solutions and officeatwork to the group. Coming from a background in consulting - and still having consultancy as a crucial part of the business - Omnidocs always understood and valued the importance of Design in documents, presentations and on its own software. If anything, we have more demand for improving UX than we can currently support. And that's where you come in.
Your qualifications The essential:
Experience designing for digital products, preferably for desktop SaaS/B2B applications
Good command of Figma, our tool of choice
Skills in wireframing, prototyping and exploring design solutions
Skills in UI design, iconography and a keen eye for the visuals
Knowledge and some experience with usability testing methods
Strong communication skills in English
It would be great if you also have an interest and/or experience in:
Shaping and maintaining Design Systems
AI tools: both using them in your workflow, or designing them
Working in Product teams
Exploratory/Discovery research
Product UX Analytics
Although you must be versatile and able to collaborate in all phases of the Product Design process, we are not looking for a "ninja", or "unicorn": we expect you to know your strengths and be interested in working on your weaker points. Be open about your core competencies, and where you'd like to improve. Our needs are diverse, and we can accommodate different professional profiles. Soft skills: We are flexible, and so are you: you must be comfortable with some level of ambiguity and the unknowns of a company in a growth journey. We don't have everything figured it out yet, but you will help us get there by participating in shaping our future way-of-working. We appreciate proactivity, adaptability and we work on a strongly cross-functional collaborative environment.
What we offer:
Flexible work hours. For real: 9-to-5 or 11-to-19, it's your choice
Hybrid work arrangements
Work-life balance, in true Scandinavian style
Optional lunch scheme in partnership with a local French brasserie
Discounts in gym membership and work glasses
Partially subsidized weekly massage therapy in the office
Social activities like wine tasting, seasonal parties and team events
Sport activities like running groups and participation in the DHL Relay CPH
Career development opportunities
An informal work environment in our office in the heart of the historic Christianshavn neighbourhood, surrounded by the vibrant life of cafes, restaurants, and cultural sights
Why is this a great time to join:
You won't have to advocate for UX: from our CEO to our CPO, all senior management recognizes the relevance and need for Product Design
You will have the chance to directly influence not only the experience of our products, but also your own role and processes as a designer
You will have constant guidance from your Team Lead, but enough autonomy to explore and suggest your own solutions
Omnidocs is in a journey of maturing as a Product-oriented company, and you can help to set the standards for how Product Design should fit in
This is the initial step towards building a Product Design team, and you'll be an important part of it
Application Please send us your CV and a portfolio, in your format of choice: online, PDF, other, you decide. Just make sure your combined CV + Portfolio PDF file isn't above 20MB. If sending a Figma prototype, please remember to allow external access, or share a password. No need to write too much: please keep your study cases short and to the point. If we move forward, we'll explore more details in an interview. As we strive for a thorough and unbiased recruitment process, we also kindly ask you to:
Use the dedicated application link (do NOT send your resume over e-mail)
Do NOT send a picture of yourself
Do NOT share your age or birth date
Recruitment steps: 1. Initial screening with Product Design Lead 2. Case analysis: we'll send you a generic scenario and ask you to present a similar past project of your choice. You won't have to design anything, we'll discuss your process, challenges and learnings. 3. Take-home behavioural assessment (aprox. 30 min) and follow-up conversation with People & Culture 4. Final call to discuss additional matters, if needed Outdated portfolio, or NDA protected? We got it you. We would rather NOT ask you for any take-home assignments, but it's your choice: if you prefer to design something fresh to present to us (f.ex. in case if you're not allowed to discuss your most recent works, or if you believe your current portfolio doesn't reflect your latest skills anymore), we'll send you a simple design case to work with. Just let us know in your application. You won't be asked to work on any of Omnidocs' products, but in an app of your choice instead. We're more interested in your approach than in your results. Questions? Feel free to reach out to Product Design Lead, Gui Webster, at gwe@omnidocs.com . Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis. We'll do our best to get back to you within 3-4 working weeks, but please be aware that this timeframe may be extended.
