Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience with micro-frontend architectures and managing application shells for large-scale web platforms.
- Experience leading large-scale, multi-team infrastructure migrations while maintaining production stability.
Preferred Qualifications
- 8 years of experience building web applications.
- 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Experience building and designing advertising platform products.
- Experience leading team strategy, mentoring or managing junior staff, and acting as a team lead for large-scale cross-functional projects.

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable infrastructure components. You will address ambiguous technical issues, influence architectural decisions, and collaborate across many teams. Your work will impact the development experience of hundreds of engineers and the product experience for all Google Ads users.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and technical roadmap of large-scale projects within the AWSM infrastructure and Google Ads frontend.
- Solve complex issues in web application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with partner teams to provide infrastructure solutions that meet their needs.
- Mentor and coach fellow engineers, promoting high standards for code quality, testing, and system health.
- Ensure the smooth operation of critical production systems through on-call participation and proactive identification of areas for improvement.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $207,000–$300,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is influenced by location and factors such as skills, experience, and training.
