Role Description
We’re starting to lean harder into AI work at Refuge VFX, and I’m looking for someone who really knows their way around ComfyUI.
This isn’t a “prompting” role. I need someone technical who understands how these systems actually work—nodes, workflows, models, control nets, LoRAs, all of it—and can also bring an artistic eye to the output.
What we’re looking for
- Strong experience with ComfyUI (custom workflows, debugging, optimization)
- Deep familiarity with current models and control nets
- Ability to take rough ideas and turn them into clean, usable imagery
- Good taste — composition, lighting, realism all matter here
- Comfortable collaborating with a VFX team and iterating quickly
- Experience integrating AI into production pipelines
- Background in VFX, animation, or concept art
- Ability to explain your setups and thinking clearly
Location & Availability
This is an onsite or remote role, and we’re open to the U.S. and Canada (Vancouver BC). If you happen to be in Portland, Oregon, even better—we’d love to have you closer to the team.
Compensation
This is a newer space and we’re figuring it out as we go, so pay will depend on experience and what you bring to the table. If you’re good, we’ll make it worth your time.
