JOB DESCRIPTION:
Create high-quality video content that supports District communications, branding, and instructional initiatives. Lead the production process from concept to completion, capturing and editing video for events, programs, and campaigns.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, film, and edit professional-quality videos for District initiatives, campaigns, and events.
Capture video at live events, including board meetings, athletic competitions, fine arts performances, and community functions.
Develop scripts, storyboards, and production plans in alignment with District branding and communication goals.
Mentor and supervise student interns in video production, editing, and storytelling techniques.
Provide guidance and professional development to CTE teachers in the Audio/Video pathway to ensure consistent, high-quality instruction and alignment with industry standards.
Collaborate with Communications staff to deliver multimedia content for social media, websites, and public presentations.
Train and support staff in proper use of video and production equipment.
Manage and maintain video equipment inventory, ensuring it is in proper working condition.
Ensure accessibility compliance for all video productions (captions, translations, etc.).
Contribute to the Communications goals as outlined in the District Improvement Plan.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE:

Five years of professional video production experience
Five years of CTE video production or digital media teaching experience
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree in communications, film/media production, or related field
Valid Texas career and technical educational teacher certification with required license, endorsements, and training for subject and level assigned
Special Knowledge/Skills:

Proficient in video production, including scripting, shooting, lighting, sound, and editing as well as storytelling for short- and long-form content
Advanced knowledge of DSLR and mirrorless cameras, video switchers, livestreaming platforms and related equipment
Expertise in video editing software (Adobe Creative Cloud applications, Final Cut Pro, Microsoft Office)
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining quality and deadlines
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to coach, mentor, and collaborate with interns and teachers
Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., closed captioning, WCAG compliance)
Skilled in digital asset management systems
