Overview

The VP, Business Development, is a senior leader responsible for executing and delivering best-in-class new business pitches for Publicis Connected Media. This role partners closely with senior business development leadership to bring pitch strategy to life and owning select new business opportunities end-to-end. This role requires strong storytelling execution, seamless coordination, and flawless delivery across pitch components. You will be part of a New York–based team and play a critical role in managing pitch workstreams and teams across Connected Media new business efforts.

Responsibilities

EXECUTE AND OWN NEW BUSINESS PITCHES
  • Support the development and execution of pitch narratives to deliver compelling, clear, and memorable stories
  • Independently lead and own assigned new business pitches, from brief through delivery, with oversight and guidance from senior leadership
  • Contribute strategic thinking and content development across all pitch stages
  • Translate pitch strategy into clear, well-structured materials and presentations
  • Ensure consistency, clarity, and quality across all pitch deliverables
LEAD PITCH WORKSTREAMS AND TEAMS
  • Lead day-to-day pitch workstreams across cross-functional teams
  • Manage timelines, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure on-time, high-quality execution
  • Coordinate closely with subject-matter experts across media, data, technology, and strategy
  • Identify risks early and proactively resolve or elevate issues as needed
  • Foster strong collaboration and accountability across pitch contributors
OWN PITCH DELIVERY AND COORDINATION
  • Execute pitch delivery plans, ensuring schedules, checkpoints, and milestones are met
  • Coordinate pitch logistics including work sessions, rehearsals, materials, and presentation readiness
  • Partner with design teams to ensure pitch materials are visually strong, polished, and on-brief
  • Support pitch theatre, environments, and experiences to ensure a professional, engaging client impression
COLLABORATION AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
  • Partner closely with the SVP and/or senior pitch leadership to align execution with overall pitch strategy
  • Capture feedback and learnings from wins and losses to inform future pitch improvements
  • Source and maintain best-in-class pitch content, examples, and templates
  • Support accurate documentation of pitch activity and outcomes

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of media agency or related experience, with hands‑on involvement in business development or pitching
  • Proven experience owning and leading new business pitches
  • Strong storytelling, writing, editing, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Collaborative leadership style with experience working across functions and disciplines
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven
  • Comfortable operating in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environments
  • Proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset with a bias toward action
  • Strong desire to grow into broader business development and leadership roles over time

Compensation Range: $146,490.00 - $230,460.00 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third‑party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
