Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated
Reliability Test Technician
to support testing and validation of advanced autonomous and robotic systems at both the system and component levels.
This role focuses on executing reliability and environmental testing, documenting results, and supporting root cause investigations to improve system performance and product quality. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically hands-on, and comfortable working in a fast-paced engineering test environment.
Key Responsibilities
Test Execution & Validation
Execute reliability and validation testing for mechanical, electrical, and robotic systems
Support system-level and component-level testing activities
Operate environmental and mechanical test equipment including vibration and load testing systems
Prepare and configure test setups according to defined procedures
Documentation & Analysis
Document detailed test procedures, observations, and results
Maintain accurate test records to support repeatability and traceability
Provide feedback to engineering teams to improve test specifications and system performance
Support root cause analysis investigations through data collection and reporting
Lab & Equipment Support
Maintain an organized and safe test lab environment
Set up and maintain test equipment, fixtures, and instrumentation
Support testing activities at internal and external test facilities
Assist with troubleshooting test setups and hardware issues
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with engineers and technicians to support product development and validation
Communicate testing results and technical findings clearly
Participate in continuous improvement of testing processes and procedures
Required Qualifications
Minimum
5+ years
of hands-on technical experience in one or more of the following industries:
Mechanical
Electrical
Automotive
Robotics
Manufacturing
Testing / Validation
Strong ability to read and interpret:
Schematics
Technical drawings
Datasheets
Experience operating test equipment such as:
Environmental test chambers
Vibration tables
Mechanical load frames
Hands-on experience with:
Soldering
Crimping
Cable management
Mechanical assembly
Proficiency using lab tools and equipment, including:
Data acquisition (DAQ) systems
Sensors and measurement instruments
Shop tools and machinery
Excellent documentation and organizational skills
Ability to work on-site and support field testing activities
Ability to lift up to
40 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with robotics or autonomous systems
Familiarity with CAD software such as:
SolidWorks
Onshape
Experience using Linux for system testing or integration
Experience supporting reliability or validation testing programs
Experience working in fast-paced engineering or R&D environments
