Senior Business Development Manager

A leading global law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to support revenue growth and help shape the strategic direction of its Transactions department. This high-visibility role partners closely with senior attorneys and practice leadership to drive key business development initiatives across the Private Equity/M&A and EBEC portfolios.

In this role, you will lead a team of BD professionals while serving as a trusted advisor to partners and department leadership. The position offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with practices including Capital Markets, Funds, Real Estate, Finance, Restructuring, and Tax, helping to execute strategic growth initiatives across the platform.

This is an ideal opportunity for a Senior BD professional looking to expand their strategic impact, or a BD Manager ready to step into a senior leadership role, particularly with experience supporting Private Equity or M&A practices. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership capabilities and a collaborative mindset, setting the tone for junior team members and driving high-quality execution across initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead BD strategy and execution for the PE/M&A and EBEC portfolios, driving measurable growth initiatives.
Translate department strategy into clear plans, workflows, and priorities while coordinating across related practices.
Manage lateral partner onboarding and integration within the PE/M&A and EBEC groups.
Oversee directories and awards submissions, ensuring alignment with strategic positioning.
Manage marketing collateral, experience management, digital content, and CRM best practices.
Support market research, opportunity tracking, and cross-practice collaboration.
Partner with internal teams on events, partner meetings, and broader firm initiatives.
