Overview
The Senior Field Marketing Manager, Expos & Events, owns the national strategy and performance of Fleet Feet’s expos and events as a core driver of customer acquisition and retention, revenue growth, and brand awareness. This role is accountable for delivering measurable business impact through a scalable, locally relevant strategy, with a primary focus on driving sales and profitability.

As a key strategic partner within Sales Operations, this individual will drive alignment across store teams and cross‑functional partners to elevate how Fleet Feet shows up in communities nationwide. They will define the vision for expos and events, and lead the development of tools, frameworks, and partnerships that enable consistent, high‑impact execution across markets.

This role partners closely with store leadership to evolve grassroots marketing efforts that complement broader expo and event strategy, and travels as needed to support key events, markets, and team engagement.

Responsibilities

Own the comprehensive expo and events strategy across national and multi‑market local execution, with a focus on revenue growth, customer acquisition, and brand presence

Own and manage the national expo and events budget, including defining KPIs and ROI measurement frameworks

Lead and influence store leadership to ensure community outreach strategies, including events, grassroots marketing, and local partnerships, drive consistent traffic, sales, and customer engagement at the store level

Lead cross‑functional planning with store leaders, vendors, and internal teams to deliver high‑impact events and partnerships aligned to Fleet Feet’s strategic priorities

Design and scale tools, training, and resources that enable consistent and effective local execution of expos, events, and activations across markets

Set direction and standards for local marketing execution, ensuring alignment with Fleet Feet priorities and consistent use of tools, resources, and best practices

Identify and pilot new event formats, partnerships, and sponsorship opportunities to expand reach, drive revenue, and improve customer acquisition

Collaborate with store outreach leads, District Managers, Franchise Operations, and cross‑functional partners to communicate initiatives, assess market conditions, and identify growth opportunities

Serve as the company’s subject matter expert on expos and events, driving innovation and continuous improvement across markets

Provide strategic recommendations to leadership to improve performance, optimize investment, and unlock new opportunities

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in retail marketing, experiential marketing, and/or large‑scale event planning, with increasing ownership and scope

Proven track record of owning and scaling multi‑market initiatives that deliver measurable business results

Experience managing budgets and evaluating performance based on ROI and business impact

Demonstrated ownership of regional or national‑level strategy development and execution

Proven ability to build strong partnerships across Sales Operations, Retail Operations, Purchasing, and other cross‑functional teams

Experience driving results through indirect leadership across distributed or store‑based teams

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to inform decisions and optimize performance

Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple high‑impact initiatives simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment

Ability to operate both strategically and tactically, translating ideas into actionable plans and execution

Up to 50% travel required, including weekends aligned with event schedules

Preferred location in Carrboro, NC or a Fleet Feet market
