Location: Dallas or New York
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with architects, and engineers to identify and document appropriate building materials, assemblies, and systems
- Prepare comprehensive project specifications and manuals using established master specification content
- Provide technical input and guidance throughout the design process and during construction
- Support project teams during construction administration with specification-related reviews and responses
- Conduct product research, analysis, and comparative evaluations
- Assist with technical problem-solving and detailing as needed
- Contribute to quality control efforts related to documentation and specifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience) - advantage
- 3+ years as a specifications or technical writer
- Familiarity with specification management software is beneficial
