Soni is partnering with a global law firm on an exciting new Business Development Specialist search. The position supports strategic marketing and business development initiatives for a global law firm’s New York office. Working closely with marketing leadership, partners, and practice group leaders, this role helps promote practice strengths and client capabilities across litigation and corporate groups. The position focuses on research-driven business development, proposal support, directory submissions, and targeted client‑facing initiatives, with an emphasis on quality, efficiency, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Support marketing and business development strategies for litigation and corporate practices through targeted outreach, events, digital initiatives, and sponsorships.
Conduct in-depth market, client, and competitive research to inform business development opportunities and strategic positioning.
Prepare and coordinate high‑quality pitches, proposals, and RFP responses, including drafting content that highlights experience, strengths, and differentiators.
Manage short‑ and long‑term business development initiatives, contributing to process improvements and operational efficiency.
Coordinate and draft submissions for legal directories and awards, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery.
Maintain and update internal tracking systems and databases related to pitches, experience, and marketing collateral.
Provide support on special marketing and business development projects as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
Four or more years of experience in professional services marketing or business development; law firm experience preferred.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven attention to detail and strong proofreading capabilities.
Analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to interact professionally with senior attorneys, leadership, and colleagues.
Ability to prioritize effectively and perform under pressure in deadline‑driven situations.
Demonstrated aptitude with marketing technologies, databases, and CRM or tracking systems.
Fluency in French, both written and spoken.
Authorization to work in the United States.
Compensation: $90,000‑110,000
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job‑related qualifications.
