B2B Sample Manager

The B2B Sample Manager is responsible for interacting with and managing B2B agency relationships to ensure research projects are executed at the highest level. In this role you will be responsible for consulting with client services, research, weighting and project management teams to determine an effective sampling plan and approach for a study to ensure it meets the client’s objectives. Coordinate with agency partners to determine feasibility and cost and provide a recommendation to the client services team on a budget for individual research projects. Once a study moves forward you work with agency partners to ensure the sampling goals are met, playing a critical role in the success of the study.
Responsibilities

Serve as internal expert for B2B sampling by assisting and advising client services.
Oversee aspects of B2B partner/vendor network management and daily field management.
Manage key elements of B2B vendor relationships including ratecard development, contract negotiations, pricing development, coordination of tests and pilots and problem resolution.
Develop and oversee niche audience custom recruitment strategy for B2B partner network.
Own supplier quality initiatives along with KPIs, reports, performance tracking and optimization.
Identify sample source and accurately determine feasibility and costs for international & domestic projects to ensure profitability. Proactively communicate information and alternatives as needed.
Work with project and methodology teams to develop and implement sampling plans that allow for representative on-time job level data delivery.
Serve as the liaison between internal teams and external vendors. Ensure all project requirements are fulfilled with quality and timely data.
Incorporate knowledge of targeted sample sources and sample performance into sampling plans.
Review performance of sample against project targets, make adjustments to sampling plan as necessary to ensure returns on sample achieve desired results.
Ensure key project performance metrics such as project profitability meet or exceed established guidelines through budget management and competitive bidding.
Provide support to Research Services Manager on identifying sample related issues and proactively anticipate, troubleshoot, overcome and/or escalate project challenges.
Provide recommendations on methodology, cultural considerations and agency referrals.
Identify and participate in vetting process for new agencies and ensure quality standards are maintained.
Document and maintain documentation on policies and procedures for bidding.
Train and act as a mentor to junior level team members.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferably in Market Research, Marketing, Statistics, Economics, Business or relevant work experience
8+ years of experience in market research sampling with considerable B2B panel industry & pricing knowledge.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Solid customer service and consulting skills.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Vendor relationship experience and management.
Ability to handle multiple projects while maintaining a high level of quality. Self-motivator with an interest and enthusiasm for research and problem solving.
Aptitude for mathematical concepts and calculations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, intermediate/advanced skills in Word and Excel.
