Our News & Insights is seeking a

Sr. News Editor

with experience working in a senior role for a major news publication to manage our real estate news content and to curate our homepage.

In this role, you will oversee a small team, including freelance journalists. You will spearhead economic‑data‑grounded articles, drive the real‑estate news agenda, and generate innovative ideas that drive audience growth. You will also manage long‑term planning alongside immediacy and need to display excellent editorial judgment and flawless copy‑editing skills. As this is a dual role, you will curate the homepage for both mobile and desktop, and you will write compelling headlines.

What You’ll Do:

Assign and edit news articles to a high standard

Come up with innovative story ideas based on economic data and the news agenda

Work closely with full‑time and freelance journalists, guiding them with feedback

Make editorial decisions driven by data, using metrics to boost audience engagement

Curate the homepage, ensuring a seamless experience across mobile and desktop

How We Work:

We balance creativity and innovation on a foundation of in‑person collaboration. For most roles, employees work three or more days in our offices, collaborating in‑person to enrich our culture.

What You Bring:

Strong communication skills and the ability to manage a small team

A solid track record of overseeing articles from ideation through to publication

At least 10 years of experience as a senior reporter, and two years as a news editor with management experience at a major news organization

Full‑time experience curating homepages at a major news organization

Familiarity with content management systems

Salary Range for select office locations: New York $130,000 - $155,000
