Position Overview
Regular student tech position serving as the Studio Technician for ACM@UCO. Supports staff or faculty in classrooms, labs, or departments by setting up, picking up, and checking in classroom items. May also set up audio/visual equipment, PowerPoint presentations, and computers for staff, faculty, or students.

Hours per Week
Up to 25 hours per week during fall and spring semesters; up to 35 hours per week during summer semesters.

Academy of Contemporary Music at the University of Central Oklahoma (ACM@UCO).

Department Specific Job Functions

Schedule and grant access to the facility for after‑hours use of recording studios, rehearsal spaces, and other approved uses.

Monitor email for after‑hours usage requests and respond promptly to students.

Manage all facilities and equipment during after‑hours use, including checking out and in items and ensuring proper treatment of the facilities.

Maintain a safe and courteous environment; may be required to act in emergencies, including calling 911 as directed by ACM@UCO staff, UCO DPS, or other applicable authorities.

Enrollment Requirements
Fall/Spring Semesters : All student employees must be enrolled at least half‑time—5 hours for graduate students, 6 hours for undergraduates. International students must be full‑time (9 credit hours for graduates, 12 for undergraduates).

Summer Semester : Regular student employees must enroll in at least 3 credit hours to work. Students not enrolled in summer classes must be enrolled in fall classes; all have required FICA taxes. FWSP positions require 6 credit hours for undergraduates or 5 for graduates.

Enrollment Exception : If the number of credit hours needed to graduate is less than the minimum required for employment, a letter from the Academic Advisor stating the needed hours and anticipated graduation date must be submitted to Human Resources (applies to all positions).
