About Us
We're Renji Labs, and we're building
Kaiary
— a privacy-first, AI-powered family journaling app. AI-generated storybook illustrations of your kids' adventures, automatic face recognition and captioning of photos and videos, semantic search across years of memories, and an Ask Kaiary memory chatbot, all running on AI models we host ourselves so family data never leaves our infrastructure. The app is launching this month.
We're an AI-native company with four people including this hire. We move fast and we ship.
The Role
You will
be
the marketing team — and you'll have a startup's worth of leverage to make that work. You'll own everything that happens between we shipped a feature and a parent paid for an annual subscription. Social, paid, influencer, affiliate, content, lifecycle, brand. You won't have a designer or a junior to delegate to. You will have access to every modern AI tool, a CEO who'll go deep with you on strategy, and a product that produces shareable content as a side effect of being used.
This role is right for someone who's spent years in marketing leadership and is done with the bureaucracy — someone who'd rather build a system that ships 50 pieces of content a week with a small team than manage a 12-person org that ships 5.
What You'll Own
Social
— pillar strategy, content production pipelines, community management, creator relationships across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and emerging platforms
Paid acquisition
— Meta and Google primarily, TikTok as we scale; budget allocation, creative testing, SKAdNetwork/AppsFlyer attribution; close partnership with engineering on event mapping
Influencer & creator program
— sourcing parent creators (Canada first, then US), structuring deals (gifted, paid, affiliate hybrid), measuring incrementality
Affiliate program
— building from zero; platform selection, partner recruitment, commission design
Lifecycle & email
— onboarding sequences, trial-to-paid conversion, win-back, gift recipient → buyer flow
Brand & content
— voice, visual identity evolution, blog/SEO, App Store creative, landing pages
Launch execution
— US and Canada soft launch, global expansion, App Store featuring submissions, PR coordination
What We Need From You
5+ years in consumer marketing , with 2+ in a senior or leadership role at a consumer subscription company. Apps strongly preferred — health/wellness, family/parenting, journaling, photo, or creator tools especially relevant.
You've owned a CAC/LTV target , not just executed against someone else's brief.
You've personally run paid acquisition
on Meta/Google/TikTok to meaningful budget ($100K+/month) and know what ROAS and payback targets are reasonable for subscription apps.
You've worked through Apple's mobile attribution constraints
— SKAN, ATT, postbacks, conversion value windows — and aren't going to be surprised by any of it.
You've built a content engine before , not just hired one.
You write well.
Caption-craft level, not synergize our brand pillars level.
AI Fluency - Non-Negotiable
We are an AI-native studio. Our app runs on AI we host ourselves. Our CEO writes Linear tickets that AI agents execute. Our team is small because each of us uses AI to do the work of three. Our marketing function will be no different.
You should be able to point to specific examples of:
LLMs in your daily workflow
— research, copy variants, briefing, analysis. Prompt libraries you've built and refined over time.
Workflow automation
you've built or maintained yourself — Claude, n8n, Zapier, Make, or similar.
AI creative tools
— Veo, Kling, Runway, Midjourney, Ideogram, ElevenLabs, Canva Magic, or whatever the current best is by the time you read this.
AI on data
— writing SQL with an LLM, analyzing PostHog/AppsFlyer/RevenueCat data, finding insights you wouldn't have found alone.
Equally important: you have a sharp eye for AI slop and won't ship it. You know when AI's output needs heavy human editing, when it needs to be thrown out, and when it's actually better than what a human would have produced.
Bonus Points
Hands-on experience with subscription mechanics (RevenueCat, Stripe, App Store IAP) and gifting flows
Experience with privacy-positioned brands or regulated spaces (health, fintech, kids)
Existing creator/influencer relationships in the parenting niches
Comfort debugging attribution (SKAN postbacks, deep links, OneLink, Smart Script)
Design fluency in Figma or Canva — even though we're not hiring you to be a designer
