DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES :
Assist Director of Sales in developing the direct sales team by formulating the strategic direction, goals, and objectives
Deliver best-in-class guest experiences from the sales inquiry stage to post event follow-up
Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for the group sales outbound team by assigning clear priorities, establishing workflows, and maintaining accountability
Prospect outside businesses and organizations
Knowledgeable of CRM software and ensures effective usage by the sales team
Assist in the development of sales performance reporting; meet weekly with each sales manager and report performance to Director of Sales
Maintain the highest level of quality, accuracy, and process consistency within the sales organization
Work to ensure all goals and objectives assigned by the Director of Sales are completed in a timely manner
Establish target market relationships; participate in professional organizations such as Chamber of Commerce(s) and Convention & Visitor Bureaus
Liaise with marketing, events, and operations teams to ensure operational excellence
Collaborate within revenue management meetings by providing insight on driving theme park admissions while also considering affiliate revenue areas such as cabana sales and event room bookings
Maintain awareness of market trends, competitive landscape, and tourism dynamics that inform strategic decision-making
Drive awareness of OWA Parks & Resort and Tropic Falls Theme Park and other owned business sites
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS :
Minimum five years of direct sales experience in related entertainment/hospitality fields
Undergraduate degree preferred
Proficient in coaching techniques and able to assist with training of junior sales team members
Proficient in working knowledge of CRM software and Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
Strong negotiation skills
Strong purposeful drive to accomplish or exceed assigned sales goals
Knowledge of local and targeted market areas, businesses, and existing client base
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Experience managing budgets, tracking sales trends versus budgeted goals, and aligning resources with business objectives
Excellent interpersonal communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively and influence cross-functional teams
Friendly, positive, outgoing personality who relates well with people
Strong organizational and critical thinking skills with attention to detail; ability to adapt in a dynamic environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required to support events and business needs
Some overnight travel involved
