Job Summary:
The purpose of this role is to ultimately increase and sustain engagement and attendance at the Stark Cultural Venues (SCV) by contributing to all facets of the SCV Marketing responsibilities. This position is responsible for creating compelling content through storytelling, graphic design, and social media management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the SCV Marketing Team to strategize, create and implement dynamic and effective marketing and promotional initiatives for ongoing and unique programs
Work closely with the venue directors and staff to promote events, daily happenings, updates and items of interest to drive engagement and attendance.
Working with the Director of Brand Design, create, develop and distribute graphic design content for various platforms and channels ensuring content aligns with organization’s goals, venues’ purpose statements, brand identity and target audience and raises brand awareness for SCV and their programmatic opportunities
Daily create, implement and manage social media/marketing content (Facebook, Instagram) for Shangri La Botanical Gardens, Stark Museum of Art and The W.H. Stark House
Daily monitor all social media pages to respond timely to social media posts/inquiries
Work with the SCV Marketing Team to develop and maintain collaborative robust and dynamic content calendar
Facilitate monthly social media planning meetings with venue directors or designees
Monitor, collect and report social media analytics by tracking content performance using analytics tools, and making data-driven decisions to enhance content effectiveness
Conduct research to identify and adapt to audience preferences, industry trends and emerging technologies and platforms
Attend scheduled venue events and programs to capture photographs, videoand other media for promotional purposes
Make media appearances and public speaking events as needed
Write and distribute press releases promoting venue events and programs as needed
Create and send promotional and informative emailsas needed
Represent marketing team and venues at internal and external meetings as assigned
Assist with SCV events operations as needed

Follow safe work procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions; notify supervisor of damages, defects, or the need for repairs that could prevent deterioration of equipment or possible injury to employees or others
Maintain proficiency in all computer related programs to perform job duties
Proof-read marketing materials for accuracy and proper credit
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Visual Arts, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Communications, or related field required
Education/experience in Arts Marketing preferred
Experience/Skills/Abilities:
Experience in marketing, proficiency in graphic design and building a social media community, social media analytics, skills/knowledge in Meta Business Suite/social media scheduling platform, excellent writing skills, photography, and video filming/editing for social media; strong visual and design sensibility with the ability to maintain brand consistency across platforms, proven ability to create compelling content and storytelling that interprets art and cultural programming for diverse audiences; knowledge of print production, desire to learn and think for oneself; self-starter, detailed, and accurate.
Additional Requirements:
A valid driver’s license, good driving record and adequate insurance coverage as specified by Foundation policy.

Physical Demands:
For the duties of this job, the employee is regularly seated at a desk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Other duties include standing for long periods of time.
Work Environment:
For the majority of time, the employee will normally work in a climate‑controlled environment.
Work Schedule:
Core schedule – Monday, Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Position requires variable schedule and flexibility, including evening and weekend hours. Long work hours are required during theater productions and SCV programs and events. Local and out of town travel is required.
