Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven Managing Director to lead a regional office. This senior leadership role requires a motivated appraisal professional capable of overseeing operations, managing client relationships, and driving business development, while maintaining an active pipeline of appraisal and consulting assignments.
The office is supported by a team of Associates who assist with report preparation and workflow, enabling efficient production. The Managing Director will provide leadership, final review, and strategic direction to ensure high-quality deliverables and operational excellence.
This is an on-site leadership role suited for individuals who thrive in a collaborative, in-person environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage day-to-day office operations
- Oversee workflow and provide guidance and final review of reports
- Ensure quality, accuracy, and timeliness of valuation and consulting deliverables
- Manage and grow client relationships
- Drive business development and expand market presence
- Coordinate project assignments to optimize efficiency and meet deadlines
- Maintain personal production alongside leadership duties
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment
Requirements
- Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Economics, or related field
- Certified General Appraiser License (state-specific), MAI designation or progress toward it preferred
- 5+ years of commercial real estate appraisal experience with leadership exposure
- Proven experience managing teams while maintaining individual production
- Strong knowledge of a major metropolitan real estate market
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Windows OS
- Experience with commercial real estate data platforms (e.g., CoStar or similar)
- Familiarity with Argus or other DCF modeling tools preferred
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability
- Ability to pass a background check
