Team Overview
The Executive Visibility team within External Affairs leads the firm’s most high‑profile thought leadership and external communication efforts. The team partners closely with senior leaders to elevate the firm’s reputation, shape industry conversations, and position executives as trusted voices across key external platforms. Working in a dynamic, highly visible environment, the team drives strategic communications that support the firm’s largest and most complex priorities.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will lead end‑to‑end external communications and thought leadership strategies for senior executives, with a primary focus on executive visibility. You will partner directly with top‑tier leaders to identify opportunities, shape compelling narratives, and execute coordinated communication plans across speaking engagements, media, and high‑impact external events.
Key Responsibilities
Lead proactive external communications and thought leadership strategies that elevate senior executive and firm visibility
Partner with senior leaders to translate business priorities and stakeholder needs into clear, impactful external messaging
Identify, secure, and manage executive speaking engagements, media opportunities, and external appearances
Navigate reputational risk, complex stakeholder dynamics, and fast‑moving issues with sound judgment
Develop executive briefing materials, messaging frameworks, talking points, and preparation resources
Oversee strategic events, sponsorships, awards programs, and owned convenings to maximize enterprise impact
Measure and demonstrate effectiveness through insights, analytics, and performance tracking
Role may require limited, infrequent travel on an as‑needed basis
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field
10+ years of experience in communications, PR, or marketing
Advanced writing experience producing executive‑level messaging and briefing materials
Experience managing external events, speaking engagements, or large‑scale thought leadership initiatives
Deep understanding of emerging communications technology and social media platforms, as well as the local and national media landscape, with experience working in complex, matrixed organizations
What Could Set You Apart
Experience in financial services, other highly regulated industries, and change‑management
Agency experience is a plus
Demonstrated experience partnering directly with senior or C‑suite leaders
Proven responsibility for earned media strategy, proactive placements, and media training
Hiring Minimum: $101,700
Hiring Maximum: $173,200
