Job Description
Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) and directs less experienced personnel to perform a variety of tasks associated with technical work within the Plans and Operations Directorate, providing photographic technical advice and set up for a variety of test operations and similar type tasks across the Command. May support operations at various sites or may be assigned to a specific test facility or program.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and provide technical advice and assistance to lower-level photographers
Ability to select and adapt established methods, procedures and techniques in the performance of standardized or prescribed assignments and follow standard work methods on recurring assignments
Receive initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from the supervisor or engineer as needed and perform recurring work independently; work is reviewed for technical adequacy or conformity with instructions
Actively participate to ensure personal safety, team safety, visitor safety, and end user safety in accordance with policy and procedures
Work requires the use of protective equipment and clothing
Develop project plans, outlines procedures and issues, identify long and short-term goals and objectives; gather data, analyze and interpret data and reports
Coordinate issues pertaining to compliance and corrective actions, determine the use of special-purpose cameras and related equipment for assignments
Conceive and plan the technical photographic effects desired by operating officials; discuss modifications and improvements; improvise methods; select and alter secondary photographic features and equipment as needed
Use mathematical image analysis software to provide 2-dimensional scoring of impact locations, calculate pitch, yaw, and velocity of various test projectiles
Responsible for the live streaming of test data to internal and external locations
Qualifications
Required Skills and Qualifications
5 years applicable experience; or at least 60 credit hours or an associate's degree and 3 years applicable experience; or 30 credit hours and 4 years applicable experience; or completion of a formal training program and 3 years applicable experience; or bachelor's degree and 1-year applicable experience
Specific Equipment Requirements for each Contractor Man Year Equivalent: 4x2 Cargo Van, Max payload 4,282, V6, rear door windows, back up camera (Chevrolet Express Cargo Van equivalent) suitable to transport personnel and equipment
Physical Qualifications
The work of this position is performed in the field where you are subject to the environment
Must be capable of sitting and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods
Must be able to view computer monitor for extended periods
Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted
Must be able to climb ladders safely
Must be capable of kneeling, squatting, bending and standing while performing duties
Must be able to distinguish colors
Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned

Terms of Employment & Eligibility Requirements
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions
Must pass a pre-employment drug screening periodic retest
Must be able to successfully complete a background screening
Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment

Rate of Pay / Benefits
Hourly Rate: $52.97
