Front-End Web Developer (On-site)

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is looking for a Front-End Web Developer to work with a highly collaborative team to develop our public-facing website. As a developer, you will play an integral role in the specification, design, build, test, and support of our website for SEL. We work on a variety of projects to support our customers as well as Sales and Marketing at SEL**A typical day might include the following:*** Participate in the design, implementation, testing, and documentation of website components and features.* Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives* Recommend and implement processes following industry best practices for designing, developing, testing, and deploying software* Collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and systems experts to solve complex problems* Collaborate with designers to extend their designs to be dynamic; build and extend components in our custom design system* Contribute to a culture of learning, innovation, and excellence**This job might be for you if:*** You have a B.S. in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent* You have 3+ years of web development experience* You have knowledge and experience in web supporting technologies and web development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)* You can learn quickly and assume new responsibilities* You have excellent communication and collaboration skills* You enjoy solving complex problems by providing simple solutions**Preferred Qualifications:*** Web development experience with some of the following technologies: React, TypeScript, Next.js* Experience with user experience (UX) design and wire framing tools (Figma)* Experience with agile development principles and processes* Experience with revision control systems (Git)* Experience with automated testing (Jest, Playwright)* General understanding of cybersecurity, user authentication and authorization**Location****Pullman, WA** - This position is located in Pullman, WA. Software Engineer, $97,700.00 - $144,400.00 per year. We base our starting pay offer on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
