The Division of Film and Television Production within the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California invites applications for

a tenure/tenure track or non-tenure track

faculty position in Producing. We seek a dynamic and accomplished industry professional with significant experience in film and television production.

Initial rank and track

will be commensurate with qualifications and accomplishments.
The successful candidate will bring extensive producing experience across development, production, and post-production, along with a deep understanding of the full scope of a producer’s role, including casting, physical production, visual effects, and financing. Experience at the senior executive level within the film and television industry is highly valued.
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of three years of teaching experience at a major research university, as well as a strong record of peer recognition and leadership in the field. A demonstrated passion for mentorship and a commitment to guiding students toward both creative excellence and professional success are essential.
Minimum Education:
College degree or professional equivalent
Minimum Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of significant professional experience in the film and television industry.
Prior teaching experience in higher education.
Preferred Education:
Graduate degree or professional equivalent
Preferred Experience:
Administrative experience
A professional profile commensurate with an appointment at an advanced academic rank.
A track record of artistic, scholarly, or industry accomplishments that have made a

meaningful impact in the field.
Demonstrated experience in academic leadership, including curriculum development, faculty mentoring, and organizational management.
Familiarity with evolving production practices and a commitment to integrating them into curriculum and instruction.
Experience with budgetary oversight, strategic planning, program assessment, and accreditation processes.
A demonstrated ability to foster collaboration and innovation across diverse disciplines and constituencies.
Commitment to shared governance, inclusive excellence, and academic integrity.
The core salary range for this position is listed below. This is a 9-month full-time position, either

tenure/tenure track or non-tenure track .
Non-tenure Track:
Assistant Professor: $83,000 - $90,000
Associate Professor: $85,000 - $95,000
Full Professor: $90,000 - $110,000
Tenure/Tenure Track:
Assistant Professor: $90,000 - $100,000
Associate Professor: $110,000 - $135,000
Full Professor: $120,000 - $175,000
