Operates specialized equipment for use in photography, videography and digital signage. Coordinates livestream events, including the establishment of s, captions, presentations (slide and video), teleprompter use, and the like. Essential Functions 35% - Video Production (Pre-Production, Production & Live Events) Develops single- and multi-camera video productions supporting college communications and strategic priorities. Develops scripts, storyboards, creative concepts and storytelling frameworks. Films lectures, performances, interviews, advertisements, b-roll, and campus events. Captures digital recordings (voiceovers, speeches, live events and drone footage). Sets up and operates live event production equipment including video switchers, robotic cameras, lighting systems (LED panels, Fresnel, tungsten, fluorescent), soundboards, microphones, cabling, and video conversion devices. Operates DSLRs, professional video cameras, gimbals, and related equipment. Coordinates livestream events. Operates and maintains mobile and on-site audio/video equipment. 30% - Post-Production & Editing Edits and produces professional video content for multiple platforms and audiences ensuring accessibility. Edits content into cohesive narratives using post-production techniques. Creates lower thirds, intros/outros and integrates visual elements. Performs color correction, audio balancing and exporting. Exports projects in a variety of digital formats for web, social media, internal distribution and large-scale display. Digitizes, catalogs, archives, and stores media content. Utilizes software including Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Apple Motion and related editing tools. Proofreads and reviews final content for accuracy, quality, and accessibility. 20% - Animation & Motion Graphics Designs and produces 2D and 3D animated graphics supporting marketing and communications. Converts flyers, event promotions and departmental information into animated ads for hallway displays, street marquees, social media and web. Develops infographic videos and animated visual explainers. Creates 3D visual graphics for large-scale campus events. Produces custom animated elements for video productions. Uses Adobe After Effects, Apple Motion, Maya, Photoshop and Illustrator. 10% - Photography & Visual Content Creation Provides professional photography and still imagery supporting communications and marketing. Captures individual and group portraits, campus events and marketing photography. Produces images for web, advertising and social media and other mediums. 5% - Strategic Alignment, Innovation & Other Duties Applies critical thinking and analysis in content development and problem-solving. Stays current with best practices, emerging technologies and industry trends in video production, animation and digital media. Assists with archiving, customer interaction, presentation collaboration, marketing brainstorming, and related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in journalism, radio/television, broadcasting or directly related field and two years of video production experience. OR An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered. Desired Qualifications Media production/videography: Three (3) years of experience capturing, editing and exporting video content using industry-standard software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Apple Motion and/or Adobe After Effects. Experience capturing and editing drone footage. 3D modeling/motion graphics and animation: Two (2) years of experience creating motion graphics and animated content, including 2D animation and compositing using software such as Blendor or After Effects Photo editing and retouching: Two (2) years of experience editing and enhancing digital photographs Adobe Photoshop or comparable professional image editing programs. Live events and streaming: Two (2) years of experience supporting live event production, including setup and operation of video switchers, multiple cameras and or PTZ, audio systems and video streaming while supporting accessibility efforts. Photography: One (1) year of experience operating cameras and performing in-studio and on-location photography, including lighting setups with speed lights, bounce reflectors, softboxes and DSLR operation. Skilled in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. Audio: Demonstrated experience in audio recording and editing techniques using Audacity, Adobe Audition and/or Logic Pro. One year of relevant full-time MCCCD experience during the previous two years. May be required to travel or be assigned to another MCCCD location Standard work schedule varies during the year: August through mid-May: Monday - Friday, 8 hour days; may be required to work evenings or weekends.
