We're seeking an experienced, strategic Advertising Agency Director to lead and grow our Northern Wisconsin digital advertising agency operations. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving revenue, mentoring a sales and service team, and delivering smart, results-focused marketing solutions to local and regional businesses.
About the Role The Advertising Agency Director oversees the performance, growth, and strategic direction of our Northern Wisconsin digital advertising division. You will lead a cross-functional team spanning sales, campaign strategy, and client success while serving as the senior marketing consultant for key clients and partners in the region.
This role blends agency leadership, revenue ownership, and team development with hands-on involvement in high-level digital strategy.
What You'll Do Agency & Revenue Leadership Own and drive digital advertising revenue across the Northern Wisconsin region
Develop and execute market growth strategies for local and regional clients
Identify new business opportunities and key verticals for expansion
Partner with sales leadership to improve close rates, proposal quality, and account growth
Monitor pacing, forecasting, and performance to ensure revenue goals are met
Team Leadership & Development Lead, coach, and develop a team of marketing consultants and digital specialists
Train sales reps to sell consultatively, not transactionally
Help team members translate client goals into smart digital strategies
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning
Client Strategy & Oversight Serve as senior strategist on key and complex accounts
Guide development of integrated digital campaigns including:
Search (SEM)
Social media advertising
Programmatic display
Video/OTT/Streaming
Geofencing and audience targeting
Ensure campaigns are aligned with business goals and backed by clear performance metrics
Step in to support retention, upsells, and high-value client relationships
Operational Excellence Collaborate with fulfillment and creative teams to ensure campaigns launch smoothly and perform strongly
Improve internal processes that enhance efficiency, communication, and client results
Use data and reporting to drive smarter decisions and stronger client recommendations
What We're Looking For Experience 5+ years in digital advertising, marketing, or agency leadership
Proven experience managing revenue goals and growing accounts
Experience leading or mentoring sales or marketing teams
Strong understanding of digital channels including search, social, display, and video
Skills Strategic thinker who can connect marketing tactics to business outcomes
Confident presenter who can lead high-level client conversations
Strong coaching mindset — able to develop others, not just do the work yourself
Data-driven and comfortable using performance metrics to guide decisions
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Bonus If You Have Experience in local or regional market advertising
Background working with industries like home services, healthcare, tourism, retail, or professional services
Familiarity with CRM systems, digital reporting tools, and campaign analytics platforms
