Film and TV Production Finance Executive

to join its team.
This role will lead financial oversight across the full production lifecycle, from development through delivery, partnering closely with the Head of Physical Production and Corporate Finance leadership. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in complex, multinational episodic and feature productions, with a proven ability to navigate the financial intricacies of both domestic and international projects.
We’re looking for a hands-on leader with extensive experience in budget estimating, managing production incentives, overseeing field accounting teams, and driving financial discipline across large-scale productions. A sophisticated understanding of global production finance and a track record of success in high-level environments are essential.
This position is based in Los Angeles and requires on-site presence; candidates must be local or willing to relocate.
Responsibilities:
Partner with the Head of Physical Production to develop writer’s room budgets, initial production budgets and critical assumptions
Recruit and oversee show side production accounting teams across projects
Assist in running budget scenarios for multiple territories
Maintain current knowledge of union and guild rates, fringes, and requirements
Review WIP and final budgets, including EFCs; flag risks and present cost insights to senior leadership
Lead production funding processes, including multi-currency cash flow management for corporate finance
Continuously refine policies and procedures to meet evolving compliance and operational needs
Ensure compliance with studio production finance policies, procedures, and controls
Assist in the preparation and submission of production incentive filings across all jurisdictions
Reconcile production funding and incentives between production and studio
Manage all production-related tax filings (including VAT and international requirements)
Process corporate production-related payments, development payments, and oversee writer payment schedules
Establish accounting software systems, and work with corporate finance to set up banking and financial infrastructure for each production
Support the corporate Controller, CFO, and COO by providing production financial reports as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of 5+ years of TV and/or Feature Film Production Accounting or Production Finance experience
3+ years in a supervisory capacity or equivalent

A-level proficiency in production accounting software (PSL, Smart Accounting, Eclipse), Movie Magic, Excel, and Word.
Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced budget estimating in Film, TV, and Animation
·

Ability to deliver fast, accurate cost analysis
·

In-field Controller experience a significant plus
·

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·

Fluency with AI productivity tools is highly valued
·

Detailed in their aesthetic presentation of spreadsheets and front facing documents
