$100,000 – $110,000 per annum (or $100-120k per annum depending on location)

Role Summary
This hybrid role requires 50% remote and 50% in-field work with a minimum of 50% travel. The Senior Field Outreach Specialist will focus on customer communications and outreach for System Hardening and Undergrounding projects throughout the client/PG&E service territory. Responsibilities include becoming a subject‑matter expert, coordinating outreach plans, managing customer concerns, facilitating escalations, and hosting community events.

Travel will be associated with assigned projects within the county‑level work area, from home or office to specific project sites, including job walks, tailboards, customer meetings, and occasional quarterly staff meetings in San Ramon, Oakland, Rocklin, Stockton, etc.

Equipment & Miscellaneous
Client will provide PPE, laptop, work cellphone, docking station, and ergonomic equipment for remote work. On‑site work will utilize hotel stations. Mileage and meal reimbursement are available with prior manager approval following client reimbursement standards.

The Local Customer Experience organization supports a positive “One PG&E” customer experience, driving coordinated operations, multi‑channel education, and community support within the service territory.

Job Responsibilities

Become a subject‑matter expert on the System Hardening and Undergrounding Program

Review planned work and execute comprehensive customer outreach coordinated with partnering organizations

Collect, coordinate, organize, and deliver outreach plans and deliverables in a timely manner

Utilize resources such as Google Earth, GIS, CC&B, SAP to prepare outreach

Build strong relationships with project managers and team leads

Lead coordination of inputs from Program Managers, construction teams, Public Affairs, Land Management, Environmental Management, and others

Develop local tactical plans project‑by‑project based on in‑field expertise

Strategize and develop customized outreach plans for specific projects with PM input

Tailboard and educate project crews regarding customer concerns

Route and manage complex customer concerns promptly, via phone or in person

Facilitate customer escalations, including legal claims and restoration efforts

Document all customer communications consistently

Coordinate completion of outreach, including letters, calls, meetings, and door‑to‑door canvassing

Attend RSM meetings to update on key projects and escalations

Develop and host Open Houses, community‑based organization presentations, and other proactive customer education efforts

Qualifications
Minimum

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, marketing, communications, or related field, or equivalent work experience

4 years of customer service, program management, project management, gas/electric construction, and/or energy efficiency sales/service experience

Valid California driver’s license or ability to obtain by first day of employment

3 years of previous customer‑facing roles

Advanced knowledge in assigned area of expertise

Effective negotiation and communication skills at director level and below internally and with customers and third parties

Proficient in intermediate levels of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and related tools

Strong presentation and time‑management skills

Experience developing executive messaging and communications
