The Opportunity
Shutterstock’s Data Licensing division is at the forefront of the company’s evolution — powering the next generation of AI model training, creative automation, and data‑driven innovation. We license large‑scale, high‑quality datasets to leading technology companies and research organizations, helping them train safer, more performant, and ethically sourced AI systems.

We are seeking a Product Marketing Manager to join the Model Training team. In this role you will act as the product evangelist, organizing launches, crafting positioning and messaging, and collaborating with marketing, product and sales to drive demand and revenue.

Day To Day

Market intelligence: analyze the competitive landscape and industry dynamics to identify trends and inform strategy.

Product positioning: lead development and maintenance of product positioning frameworks, translating them into compelling messaging for personas, verticals, and segments.

Competitive differentiation: maintain a repository of key statistics and proof points for sales materials and thought leadership.

Buyer research: research and deepen understanding of buyer needs, pain points, motivations, and buying journeys.

Product launches: partner with marketing, sales, and product to develop go‑to‑market strategies and manage cross‑functional implementation.

Product communication: develop processes for communicating regular releases and significant enhancements to customers.

Marketing plans: create comprehensive marketing plans aligned with strategic goals for awareness, lead generation, pipeline, revenue, and cross‑sell/upsell.

Sales enablement: produce training materials, sell sheets, pitch decks, case studies, and other assets for sales enablement.

Voice of the customer: ensure customer insight informs product strategy.

Reporting: set targets, collaborate with marketing operations, and regularly report on campaign results to drive improvement.

What You’ll Bring To The Role

At least 3 years of product marketing experience in a B2B environment.

Proficiency with CRM (Salesforce) and collaboration tools such as Jira and GitHub.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and cross‑functional leadership skills.

Detail‑oriented project management capabilities.

Passion for understanding buyer needs and aligning product value.

Enthusiasm for “value proposition” and “go‑to‑market” strategy.

Strategic, analytical thinker who can set realistic targets and manage plans to achieve success.

Strong technical background with ability to translate complex technical language into compelling value statements.

Demonstrated passion for data and measurement, proficient in Excel and Tableau.

Bachelor’s degree required; business or marketing preferred.

Pragmatic Institute Certified (PMC) III or higher preferred.

Pay Range
130,000 – 150,000 per year in New York.

Commission‑eligible roles are expressed as on‑target earnings (base and commission). Non‑commission roles are expressed as base salary only, with eligibility for annual incentives.
