VP, Major Accounts Segment Leader – Chubb
Job Description
This leadership role is focused on managing and growing Chubb’s Major Account segment by aligning internal resources to provide exceptional service to key clients and brokers in the region, which includes 5 Branches and 9 States, specifically supporting Austin and Houston branches. As a main point of contact for large customers and a driver of opportunities for all applicable product lines, the role demonstrates Chubb’s commitment to deploy its global coverage and risk management capabilities to meet the specialized needs of large global customers.
Key Deliverables
- Participate in establishing and executing strategies to achieve financial plans for all applicable product lines in the Major Accounts Segment.
- Maintain strategic market visibility through consistent and frequent contact with brokers and clients.
- Ensure target submission flow for Major Account product lines and services.
- Promote new products and initiatives.
- Coordinate cross‑divisional proposals and presentations.
- Gather market and competitor intelligence.
- Negotiate profitable transactions.
- Develop key broker relationships to access decision makers.
Regional Production
- Same items as Key Deliverables plus cultivate “zero to two line” accounts into deeper Chubb clients.
Leadership
- Educate line‑of‑business underwriters and foster a culture of cross‑selling.
- Provide guidance on customer coverage and risk‑management needs.
- Build and execute multi‑line customer retention and acquisition strategies.
- Coordinate with local Business Unit leaders for regional meetings.
- Run the Region’s Client Executive Program and Client Advisory Board.
- Serve as CE for up to 5–7 clients and address service issues.
- Understand client business, operations, and risk philosophy.
- Communicate key account issues and strategies to the Chubb team.
- Maintain service standards and timely responses.
Account Coordination
- Monitor and report regional segment and customer results.
- Lead monthly Major Account Segment meetings.
- Drive the strategy for target accounts across all lines of business.
Technical Guidance & Reporting Responsibilities
- Utilize Tracker and other Chubb tools to support branch underwriters.
- Manage account mapping and targeting of Major Accounts within the Pacific North Region.
- Produce monthly reports.
Qualifications
- 7+ years insurance industry experience, preferably national account underwriting, with strong client and broker interaction.
- Undergraduate degree required.
- Excellent sales, marketing, relationship‑management, and negotiation skills.
- Experience providing leadership to people and processes toward business objectives.
- Strong computer skills; working knowledge of Excel required.
