Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking for a savvy, strategic Communications professional to shape and deliver compelling communications to support our Aeronautics Systems strategic communications team and executive leadership. Reporting to the director of Strategic Communications, this senior‑level role is responsible for helping to strategically align and shape communications messaging for business priorities and supporting executive leadership messaging and prep.

You’ll Make a Difference By

Leading, preparing and developing messaging for executive leadership to position Northrop Grumman priorities internally and externally

Overseeing and supporting messaging creation and content for business focus areas and priorities, partnering with functional colleagues and leadership to align to business objectives and messaging

Partnering with communications colleagues to develop a holistic and integrated communication strategy to achieve business and communication goals

Qualifications
Sr. Principal Employee Communications Representative

Basic qualifications:

Demonstrated knowledge and experience developing and deploying strategic communications campaigns and measuring business impact

Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 8 years of communications, public relations, marketing or journalism experience, master’s degree and minimum of 6 years of communications, public relations, marketing or journalism experience, or a PhD and minimum of 4 years of communications, public relations, marketing or journalism experience

Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Clearance as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs

Must have the ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a large, matrixed and/or geographically dispersed organization

Experience developing productive relationships with executives

Experience in technology, aerospace, defense or other science‑related business or government fields

Demonstrated judgement in decision making and leadership actions with capabilities to drive change through creative and/or other disruptive methods, ideas & approaches

Understanding of AP Stylebook

Experience with measurement tools and analyzing data

Primary Level Salary Range: $101,400.00 - $152,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
