We are looking for a Photojournalist to join Spectrum News to produce high‑quality, unbiased video stories for television and digital platforms.

Responsibilities

Shoot and edit television news footage for newscasts.

Elevate stories by incorporating fresh angles, lighting, and points of view.

Collaborate with a team of journalists to create compelling, timely, and accurate content for TV, Connected TV, and digital platforms.

Work independently and support the team in a fast‑paced, constantly evolving newsroom environment.

Preferred Qualities

Playing a crucial role in producing character‑driven, community stories across multiple platforms.

Required Qualifications

Work lawfully in the U.S. without employment‑based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future.

5+ years of experience shooting and editing television news footage.

Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field, or equivalent television work experience.

Experience operating ENG/SNG/Satellite vehicles and bonded cellular streaming.

Strong communication skills and ability to relate to diverse populations.

Positive attitude, problem‑solving mindset, and ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds.

Ability to differentiate colors and discern sounds.

Open to travel for community stories and to interact with the local population.

Flexible with shifts, schedule changes, and can cover stand‑by responsibilities.

Valid driver’s license for authorized driving in the state of residence.

Preferred Qualifications

DSNG experience.

Working Conditions

Work both indoors in a climate‑controlled environment and outdoors throughout the year, possibly under extreme heat or cold.

Drive company vehicle to and from locations safely and obey all traffic laws.

Compensation
The base pay for this position generally is between

$20.00

and

$33.10 , with additional incentive‑based compensation possible.
